I see you can buy those in car cameras which take 2 angles for around $199.
I( was wondering how feasible it would be to use one as a security camera in the house, cheaper than those ones usually available, they record to a card. any pros/cons?

They can be used that way - I have one in my Jackaroo that has IR motion detection & IR night vision. anyone walking past the front of the car gets recorded (switches on automatically for 30 secs when ignition off). You need to consider power requirements (does it need a remote power source), size of card it will support & how long it will record. I'm sure there will be a model out there to suit.
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..
