Transmission Leak

I have a leak from around the speedo cable , thinking that the o ring has gone.How does one disconnect the speedo cable from the transmission?

There is a 10mm nut on the back of the housing where the speed drive connects. Loosen it and the cable pulls out.
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
