Been reading posts and people have been saying the 5a 4sp is a closer ratio box to the 800, so wandering if that + a smaller turbo would give better acceleration and pickup than a bigger turbo and f8b gearbox on a f8b motor ?? i dont much care for top speed, i prefer the pickup for hooning around town :)

The short answer is no, the F5A 4 speed is useless. The F6A 5 speed has the best gear spread, but the F8B 4 speed isn't too bad with a turbo because of the added torque.
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.

Awesome cheers :) just trying to make a little rocket with a lot of pickup and go for around town. Trying to work out the best way to do it
