Hi all. My mb has developed a clicking/knocking noise which I cant locate. It happens from about 20km and can be heard even when driving in a straight line. It is coming from the front driver side. Thought it was a cv. Changed it out and was quiet for about a day. Noise now back :-(
Any ideas about where to look next would be great. Thanks

Need more details to properly help ya, does it only happen under power/braking or bumps in the road? I would lift the front end and check tie rod and rack ends, also make sure all bushes are intact including the swaybar D bushes and strut tops
Make sure everything is tight since the cv replacement
I have heard wheel bearings click before as well so make sure there's no free play in the front hub as well
Should be enough to find anything that would make a noise unless there's something stuck in the tyre could be that simple as well :)

Goals for the future:
Paint car orange
Get RANGA3 number plates
Over 100kw and awd...
Gotta aim high right?

thanks for the suggestions.
popped the bonnet after work to notice the new clutch cable resting on the inner cv boot. looks like everytime the cv went around the boot band would hit the cable causing it to jump around. i think i have solved it :?
