Is it possible to run a wire down the inside of this pillar? i.e. from the sunvisor mount to under the dash inside the cabin?

Tez, I am pretty sure it will be possible - have a look at where the dome light wires run (very long time since I looked).
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..

The interior light wires run down the driver's side A pillar, and the charcoal canister vent line runs down the passenger's side. So the answer is yes, you can run cables through both pillars.

Be careful when fiddling near the metal edge that is exposed when you remove the rubber headliner trim. It can be razor sharp in places.

I've never had any rubber trim in any of my boys. What does it look like.

Pretty easy to run extra wires down the pillar. I just ran an extra wire down for an interior light door button.

The trim is made up of two pieces of pale grey press fit rubber that run from either side of the interior light around the sides to the B pillars. It really finishes off the headliner nicely if you still have grey material, but looks a bit dorky against darker material.
