Hi I have a Mighty Boy that has Advanti 14" X 6" racing wheels on and huge 185 X 60 X 14 inch tyres that scrub everywhere on the front, the back is no real problem and the offset is 52 mm to the outside (as near as I can determine) of the rim, I see on the site that 175x50x14 are no problem, I am after suggestions before I shell out my hard earned and realize that I am up the creek without a paddle, any suggestions appreciated. Cheers Gerald.

Hi Gerald.
Not too sure what you're actually asking, but doing a search for 175/50/14 in two independent search pages comes up with nothing - i.e. whilst 175/50/14 may be theoretically appropriate or feasible, in reality that configuration appears to be not available. (Which, I suspect is why they have 185/60 fitted)

try these websites:

Hi again Tez if you are down the Peninsula anytime I will give you a look, but with the new one which I will post a picture now you taught me how when I get my special socket tomorrow as the original has been lost so I cant get the wheels off and check it out, the Suzuki GTI front struts are on the front with the 12mm studs and bigger brakes to cope with the bigger engine and we will be putting on the rear discs off the GTI as well which there is some modification required.
The height is no problem just the width so 175x60x14 we may get to work but until I can have a look I don't really know, but thank you for the links.
Cheers Gerald. P.S. now that would be a nice boy for Albury in March if we can solve all the problems before then.

You shouldn't have any scrubbing issues with these -

Gerald,

I have been running 165/55/14 for many years with no problems on a 14x6 rim and the car is lowered between 2 and 2.5 inches all round (and engineered). However I have an offset of +38.

The wheels I had this past week end were 6.5 at rear with 165.55.13. A small stretch but nothing excessive.

Once you get the wheels off the offset should be stamped on the back. My guess is that it will be closer to +40mm.

Hi Brayden, nothing stamped on the back do I measure the offset to the outside of the rim or to the inner edge where the Tyre sits? cheers Gerald.
P.S. the Barina wheels are good on my other Boy sprayed and emblazoned with the Suzuki S logo on the Barina caps.

Hope this Image I ripped from the 'net ages ago helps...

Negative offset would have the 'mounting surface' of the rim on the other side of the centreline...
