I've made a set of mount templates using a MK2/3 G10A* and the K-frame from an auto MB. At the moment I'm waiting on Ceej to get back from the USA so we can do a test fit in his ute and make sure the clearances are right. If it all works out I'll put together a video or article (with pics) about the process.
*The reason I specified that the motor is from a MK2/3 Swift is because the gearbox is larger than a MK1 G10A, which makes the install harder.

Are the early and late gearboxes interchangeable between the early and late engines.Brayden wrote:

I've currently got Mk1 engine and box in the car with a major camshaft failure. Was going to swap over a later motor from a complete running swift I picked up for next to nothing. Will I need the later gearbox too and have to change mounts?
