im the happiest person !
i bought my carry off Mad_Aussie for $250
well i bought the rims really
van came with it
he told me the engine was muffed, so here i was thinkin fark its gonna need a rebuild.
got it home cleaned it up degreased all the oil put a bit of oil in and cranked it. ran but didnt hold idle that well, pulled the choke and she was sweeet, had a look under the car and saw the oil leak straight away, was coming from the oil pressure sensor. replaced it with an aftermarket one with an oil pressure gauge in cabin, topped up with oil cranked her leak gone!, idle was fine with choke out, and once it warmed up choke went back in and idles perfect!
im stokedddd it runs soooo goood! 80km top speed ftl!

i'd still say it needs a rebuild, as a leak at the oil pressure switch would mean that not enough oil/pressure has been reaching all the crank bearings.......especially the ones furtherest from the switch.

very good buy still!!!!! 8)

Yeh, It's a cool van!
I wouldn't worry too much about a rebuild, wait till it dies good and proper!
