i stumbled across a gear box today but the guy isn't sure whether its for aF5B or an F8B but says they might be the same. its been reconditioned already and he wants $300 for it.

do you mean f5A as opposed to f5B because the "b" has a 5 speed i think. also even if it were an f5A box it will have a different ratio at some point (final drive??) and will make an f8B rev higher than necessary at 100km's.

i just bought coins 4 speed box for $50 suit f8b not bad i thought now to pull it down and replace all the bearings and check gears .
