Well its on again, the 2nd Annual Canberra Ute Show!
I attended last year and it was a bit of fun, a good laugh, and plenty of other stuff to do because it is on at the same time and venue as the Royal Canberra Show! Bring the kids, etc!
If you want to see whats going on at the Royal Show then check here:

If you're interested in coming along for the ute show, here is the schedule and entry form:

It does start very early in the morning, but overnight stayers are welcome. I have plenty of floor space for campers. ;)

Cost to enter is $25, but that includes two entry passes to the Royal Show as well, so thats not bad value.

I really think I need the weekend off... I've been sick for two weeks at the moment and am showing no signs of improving...

Flat-out with rehearsals every night this weekend and then off to Sydney on Friday night to bunker down in the studio all weekend and drive back Sunday night so I'm going to be a f*#king writeoff again next week... :(

Ended up coming in second. Lost to a Holden VSII with an owner who has spent a lot more money than me. $60k in total, which just proves that money beats hard work every time. ;)

The only ute that really blew my skirt out of the 60 or so entrants was a mint Austin A40 trayback with a V6 transplant. It ended up taking out grand champion, a well deserved win and a credit to the owner.

Thats a shame, but you know that you acheived someting with your hard work, and you still have money too :) . One day that guy is gonna look back and say... Why the hell did i waste all that money on just 1 car.

Anyhoo, Congrats on second anyway. It could be a lot worse.
