It has been like that for a couple of months now, I can't figure out why. Will try and get to the bottom of the problem ASAP.

You can tell your browser to remember your username and password in the meantime, thats what I do.

If you set the "auto login" preference before I upgraded the look of the forum then it will still work until you logout - from then on you have to log in every time. Its wierd and frustrating because I can't find the source of the problem.

from what i understand not having the remember password Tick box means that it wont create a cookie on the machine to auto login into the site

i've had (and still have) no problems staying logged in on this pc (XP, mozilla 1.7), but on my other boxes - slackware + firefox 1.0 and XP + firefox 1.5 - i have to log in every time, no matter what cookie settings

You're also in trouble if you clear your browser cache and cookies as I did.

The problem is that the autologin checkbox has actually disappeared!
