No I was forced to get an engineers certificate. RTA rules only allow up to a 15% increase in cubic capacity without certification. F8B is close to 50% larger than an F5A.

It's different here in queensland, i'm not sure exactly what the rules are (everyone i've talked to has their own opinion)
Examples:
(1) One guy told me some mightyboys came out with F8B's from the factory...
(2) Another guy tells me the F8B is able to be fitted 100% legally without any mod plates or certification
(3) Someone else said i'll need a mod plate
...the list keeps going.

The rule i've heard and tend to believe is based on the cars original weight and engine capacity and there's a formula to work out how big you can go.
Sorry i can't help more but you know how QLD transport is, one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. :roll:

Just to confirm the Weber 30dic to suit mightyboy manifold is the 10-112 also to suit datsun 1600, as this one on ebay?
