There is a white 8 (?) gauge wire running from the alternator to the battery as a part of the stock mightyboy wiring loom.
Does it go anywhere inbetween these two places? i.e: power the dash, etc..?

Yes there is a white wire, yes it goes straight to the battery. I can't be 100% sure of that though, as all my wiring is concealed in that black flexi tubing stuff.

I seem to have some vague recollection that the Hatch wiring is different because the Hatch alternator has a remote voltage regulator rather than an internal one like the MightyBoy.

Is that right? Wasn't that the hassle we ran into when fitting the bigger Hatch alternator to your F8B, Brayden?

Yeah, I have the Hatch and MightyBoy wiring diagrams, and there are some differences between them.

The only thing that appears to be identical is the instrument cluster loom.
