Hey, just been trying to track down a set of nuts to suit my mags but am having a LOT of trouble. Just about nobody stocks 10mm wheel nuts let alone the sort i need for my wheels...

The wheel brand is Speedy, and they have a "tunnel" of sorts that the wheel nut goes in. They are a hex head (Like an allen key). I have 7 of the 16 nuts i need, but would most likely just but 16 all at once.

If anybody has nuts the same style as i have described and are willing to part with them, id be more than happy to take them off your hands. Otherwise, if anyone has any ideas as to where i can get a set from, that would be equally as good! I seem to think that i am gonna need to get them custom made up, but would prefer to buy them from a packet...
Cheers 8)

I got my wheel nuts from car bitz in caloundra...
They're not lock nuts, just the standard tapered type ones.
I guess repco or similar could get them for you, I don't think they're listed in the book so you'll just have to get them to ring up and ask.

Hope this helps.

They're called "barrel nuts", and like any other mag wheel nut for the MightyBoy, custom made is your answer. ;)

$220? Fark thats steep... My old wheel nuts (custom made) were $70. Hell, its costing me less to prep the ute for these wheels than it is to put em on...

Don't fear Chris, you can buy blank barrel nuts and have them tapped the same as your old ones. Shouldn't cost you more than $80.

So where can i pick up the blank barrel nuts from and do they come already drilled with the hex in the top? If i have a drill press and a tap+die set can i do the tapping myself, or is it too risky?

What I meant was that your current wheel nuts were made by tapping a set of blanks, same as any wheel/tyre shop could do for you with a set of barrel nuts.

Would I bother tapping them myself for $5.50 per nut? Not likely!

So would i need to pre-buy the blanks and take em, or just get them to source them?

I've seen them in the catalogue, so whoever drills them should be able to source them!
