how much would it cost to turbo a fully rebuilt f8b with custom manifolds??

I was quoted anywhere from $500 to $1800 for a custom exhaust manifold and dump pipe to suit a charade turbo, and a rebuilt short motor is in the ballpark of $1000.
Then you've got costs such as the turbo itself, a carby or EFI setup, electric fuel pump, plumbing of oil lines, re-curving of the distributor,and tuning once you've got it all together!
Unless you have a mate who can look after you I would say you'd be up for a figure around $3k.
