Cappuccino parts for F8B

Hi all,

Was hoping someone could clue me up on what parts from an F6A could be used for a F8B turbo conversion? There's one wrecking at the moment but I don't know much about them. Is the F6A injected? If so, can one take the intake manifold and ECU, or would you have to go aftermarket to suit the F8B?

thanks

Assuming it is a Cappuccino F6A and not an Alto Works F6A then the parts you can use are probably limited to the inlet manifold (with modifications) and possibly the turbo.

Problem with the Cappa is that the driveline is configured north-south, which means a lot of parts have the incorrect orientation for east-west applications.

OK, yeah it is a cappuccino.

So theoretically the turbo should suitable (suitably small I guess) - maybe the charade setup would be cheaper, and easier to source parts for?

Can one take the whole injection system? (I don't know much about EFI) and what sort of modifications would need doing? And as for the ECU - no go?

The turbo itself would be suitable, but I'd be doubtful about the exhaust manifold and dump.

Inlet manifold will bolt up, but you run into problems with the thermostat housing being on the opposite side to what you need.

To get the whole thing running you need to upgrade the fuel lines, pump and filter, find a solution to the ignition (converting the dissy to electronic) and then buy an ECU to run it.
The cappa ECU wouldn't be suitable as the extra 250cc would cause the motor to run lean, and throw out the timing.

Alternatively you can also go directly to the f10a 4 cylinder from a RWD carry wagon or brayden does the f12a exists? A four cylinder turbo would be a winner with the hemi style heads :D

Swift G10a & 5 speed is simpler - front wheel drive to start. I can see I am going to have to get my mates G10a powered MB up on his hoist for a photo session.....

shavenyak,
I have a Cappuccino and am after a wreck for a donor car. Is the one you got the motor from still available and how would I contact the owner?

Cheers,
Grant
