i thought i had read somewhere on this site previously that some engine mounts or bolt positioning or something was different between the a hatch and an alto.

can someone tell me firstly is this true?
Will a alto engine and man gearbox go straight into the hatch? i have an alto with man box still on it and am prob gonna buy a hatch with a shot engine will it be easier to replace the engine and gbox together or pull them apart and replace the engine only.

Thanks Guys

Alto engine will go into a Hatch, but a Hatch engine will not go into an Alto. ;)

thanks Brayden, i thought id read something along those lines. Do you know if its easier to change an engine over or an engine with gbox still on it?

Much easier just to pluck the whole thing than try and remove the box while the engine is still in the car.
