Can the seal be replaced on the 92 993cc water pump? My daughter's car has developed a leak from the pump and it seems a shame to throw out an otherwise perfectly good pump.
You used to be able to buy water pump kits.
What's a new pump cost?

A new pump would be around $75. As Colin says though the gasket itself isn't replaceable - you need to replace the whole thing.
Don't ask me why, I think the notion is pretty rediculous too.

Ta I ended up getting a new aftermarket pump for $55, Suzuki price was around $176, outrageous.
You used to be able to buy kits with the new shaft, bearings and seals, press out the old and press in the new, you would think there would be a market for them now.
It is the shaft seal leaking not the gasket, I usually make my own gaskets, got a new one with the pump so will make a pattern for use in future.
Also might press the old one apart and see if the seal can be re-placed.

My apologies I meant seal, not gasket.
