Has anyone got a photo of the factory stereo (or rather, mono..) from an older hatch (pre - 84)?
thx
Original radio from hatch
coz I wanted to see what one looked like!
was thinking about a project where the original radio provided volume control for a hidden amp.
Maybe kindof a pointless idea, since my dash is already hacked up to fit a stereo...

I think I still have a couple of AM radios laying around. I'll have a look when I get a chance.

I saw it the other week on overhaulin'.
They used an original cassette deck face, which they converted to being a built in iPod holder, so the ipod went all the way in. all the functions still worked FF, rewind volume eject etc.
Effective I think.

that's ok, the dash was so badly cut up so I abandoned the idea I had, and made up a kind of blanking plate that covers the hole, with some VU meters and switches.utie wrote:I still have original mon radio in MB 85 I can get a pic of that if that helps??
