Just call 'em up. Mechanics don't usually deal well with email.

I just emailed them before you said that and they have replied with

"a reco exchange motor is $1590 plus $565 for installation inc basic parts like plugs, oil filter, thermostat and gaskets."

Does this seem steep??

And what would they do with my old F10A??? Keep it and get it reconditioned then sell it off to the next person for $1500?!?!

That seems good, 1500 for exchange. I'd get it recoed and put it in myself. Thing is, you have to get the car there.

At springwood, but, the way i would do it, is get engine out at your house, if you have a ute or van, strap it down in the back, take it to them, and put the recoed in, as long as you know how to get the engine out.

Yours is a van, its easier in a mighty boy, undo a few bolts and out it comes.

If you have the spare 2000 for the complete job, it would be easier.

Hmmmm. I almost have $2000.... hahaha

I definitely don't have the facilities or the know how to get the engine out myself.

Does it matter about Km's, when looking at rebuilt engines???

Um not really i guess. If its rebuilt then i guess it means its good.

You might be able to say to suzi auto care, 2000 even for the change.

I think 2000 is fair if they do the work, and you'll know it won't break down.

I should just do it, no point having a car not working?? and I only bought it for $980.
