as for the 'To-do list'.....
in no specific order..
-Take out F5a..Drop in F8b
-Paint Job...after many a hours thinking, he's going lime green, with black bonnet and the rear part surrounding the rear window.
-Window Tint
-Channel going around most of the car is being filled in with petrol filler upper part
-attempt to make up a hard top out of sheet metal or some sort of matter.
-respray dash
-re-do upholstery and roof lining..
will probably take off the racks aswell
and that would probably be it ....was thinking of putting an LCD screen in it with an Xbox as my music source, but i dont know if ill b farked doing it.
pictures to follow very soon.....

as for the seats.....not that much hassle...for a while i just had one mighty boy seat rail on each seat with an orginal gti one on there....which the seats were slanting...so i just put both mighty boy seat rails on and she's a gem

Interesting that your GTi seats went in so easily. I'm trying to put a set in mine and I've had to weld up an adaptor plate setup to get the MB rails on.

I've got a set of GTI side skirts to put on as well. Are you going to plastic weld them to be a shorter fit?

side skirts...i was just gunna cut a lil bit off and stick em together somehow, most likely bog or even a half-assed plastic weld..
as for the parts.....ebay comes in handy sometimes....thats where ive obtained the seats and skirts...tonneau cover was made by my bros mate in the defence force for nothing, so that was quite handy. and i got the dash from doom quite some time ago now..nice bloke.

I sell the same tools needed to do plastic welding through work, but for vinyl floor layers. I've got everything needed to give it a go except the plastic welding rod and i'm buggered if i know where to get that from!
