You might notice on the second shot that I have fabricated a panel with a single DIN to properly fit a head unit. I bet everyone here has cursed Mr Suzuki for making it so bloody difficult to mount an aftermarket stereo. Still a work in progress. Next thing is the re-upholstery of my old seats. As you can see, I kept the diamond stitching theme going from my hood-lining, but flipped it to red stitching on black material, with some 'Suzuki Sport Racing' decals for added wank/coolness.

I had a flash of inspiration the other day when it came to making my footwell panels 'non-slip'. I whacked down a 'Concept MB993' decal, and covered it with clear skateboard grip-tape. Just like the good old days back in the 80's. As a bonus, it just happens to look like the Japanese flag.

What spring rates did you get for the front? I looked at Tiens but they didn't seem to go below 250lb, which I felt was way too stiff for an MB. I ended up getting a set of custom springs made at 180lb to make it streetable.

Hi Brayden, at the risk of telling you something you already know, the Teins for the MB are from their Specialized Damper range, and are a bolt on for the SS40T, not a massive production item, but not custom made either. Trusting that Tein know what they are doing, I didn't request a specific valving for the damper or a particular spring rate, only that the springs are 2" shorter than standard. To be honest, I'm not even sure of the spring rate. If the valving is wrong for the car I am stuffed anyway! Damper tuning is such a specialized field these days, I am happy to have a play, see what the bump and rebound adjustments can do for me, and if I get my head around it, I could change the springs, if I think there is a need. Oh, the pillow ball camber plate is just an optional item, again, not a custom part.

That suspension setup is sexy as, something ill be looking at in the future.
Ive also ordered one of those rear roof spoilers that you have fitted, are you able to email me any more pics? i cant quite tell from that pic, but it looks like you had to cut the rubber surround to fit it. is this correct?

Yeah I guess its a bit of coin. But buying expensive bits is insignificant compared to the hours I've put into this car in fabrication, and general restoration. Although it will never be a race car, having it go fast in a straight line is only part of the equation, with a stiffer chassis thanks to the cage I have a better chance of making a go of the suspension upgrade. Just need to get more weight over the arse end! I'm concerned the brakes will be shit though.

Hey Paul, I didn't notice a separate part number for the shocker top, but I wasn't really looking for one either. Will take a look over the weekend. Cam, the spoiler sits in the gutter section of the rear of the roof (where the rubber is usually located) so yeah, you need to cut the rubber or do away with it altogether. There is also no mounting system for the spoiler, I'm 90% of the way through making mounts that pick up the holes left in the rear bulkhead where the roof bars are usually attached. I will take some shots and post em up.
