hey all .
i`ve only just started on my project . but heres a set of pictrues of the cold air intake i mocked up in about 15-20 minutes a with a bit of alloy flexable tubing the kind they use fot pre heat from the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner , i mounted it over the snorkle of the stock air cleaner . then with a little bit of flat bar i made a tab to be bolted to the timming cover . and then a clamped it to the tab by using a screw raditor style clamp just firm ,not overly tight . i din`t want to crush the tube . but heres the pictures ..

I cut out two plates of 3mm thick AL, roughly larger than the inner dia. of my stock filter, cut out a hole on one plate for the carb mouth and sandwiched the filter between the tow plates.

I'll post images..... using the stock setup till i get a K&N replacement to stick there!

If you have access to some sheet metal folders, why not get creative, and make a bigger snorkle pipe for the stock air cleaner, make it the same style & use the same mounts on the rocker cover as stock, but say twice the size & extend it a little to pickup cold air from behind the grill?

Painted black & looking stock, i'm sure you would get away with it, and get some better airflow to maybe make some more power.

Cheers
