The problem with planning a cruise is that it will always be a bad time for someone... That's why I put it out six weeks - to give people with "issues" time to get them sorted...

Some will be able to, others wont. Those that can't get their Zooks going are welcome to front up in anything else, provided they are prepared to cruise along with us. Obviously the more Zooks on the day the better, but a major consideration in organising these cruises is so that ppl can meet & put faces to names etc... and the whole social side.

So if you can't get the 'Boy/Carry/Alto/Baleno/Sierra/Swift/Hatch on the road on the day, then front up in something else, wander over and be friendly - I'm sure we'll all get along just fine.

Cheers

Arctic...

There are a few hills in the route...

Just some little ones... :-o

:x

Don't worry - it's all downhill once you get to the top...

While that it's all downhill...... is usually a bad thing, in a mighty boy, unless you have some mods it's the only time you pickup speed quickly. lol.

I'll see what i can do about fronting up on the day. Should i bring a tow rope with me? :-)

Cheers

If you bring your Ford you should have enough power to pull us all.

I just sent my Carry on a tow truck to my mechanic so hopefully I will be ready.

If my clutch don't slip, yeah, 4ltrs & 130rwkw should be enough. :x

I've got the gear to replace it and am planning on doing so soon.

Ok folks...
The cruise is Sunday after next. (9th August)
I was asked by the nice people at the Lancefield Pub if I could indicate how many ppl they might expect for lunch...

So it's now time to commit.

If you think you WILL attend on August 9th, - That is, arrive at the Lancefield Pub by whatever means for lunch, please let me know here.

I'll take "no response" as a "no-show". - I don't want to stuff the pub about.

I was asked to give them approximate numbers next Monday, so you have until Sunday night to decide if you're in or out for the lunch.

If you think you can join up with us for some other portion of the run, then you're still welcome to do that, of course!

What time is lunch planned to be?

I'll def come for lunch, i need a good excuse for a day of not doing much, and i might even get to the ringwood starting point as well....

I don't think i'll make it in my might boy, probably won't have the engine rebuilt in time i . I plan on leaving it at the engine shop next monday, doubt it will be ready to pickup by friday & install on saturday. But we will see...........

Cheers

Wasn't planning on being too regimented - but... If we get away at about 10:00am, the route from Ringwood to Lancefield should take about 2 - 2+1/4 hours according to google maps (who I've always found to be quite conservative - which might suit a MB run!) - So I'd think we'd be there anywhere from Noon to 12:30...

I've managed to borrow a pair of UHF walkie-talkies with about a 5 km range so the first and last cars can carry one each and keep in contact in case anyone after the front car has troubles... Not sure how reliable they will be, but easier / cheaper than mobile phone and mobile might not have signal in some areas anyway.

Obviously if other participants have similar radios and bring them, the more the merrier. I haven't got a CB in the car (yet).

Tez,

I know you want answers, but I can't give them to you yet. I hope the HOLK will be ready in 2 weeks but I am not sure. In the blue one I have swapped the engine, but the battery goes flat overnight. I will check this coming weekend and if all good I will let you know by Sunday night.

Cheers,
