Thank you for that, I will do a search online for the kit cant wait to run a nardi suede wheel
Found this one at a bargain what do you think is it like yours?

Also any progress on headers? Im thinking if I can get a flange at least I can prob use butt welds to make a nice set of custom headers. The 1.6 is really something with the bigger muffler so cant wait to run headers, bigger air filter and the correct injectors as for now the 1.3 injectors are doing well.

G'day

Sorry I have been working at Brewarrina, which is far away from civilization. I did 900kms today in my Carry van dodging kangaroos, emus, pigs, goannas, but aiming for foxs.

The hub looks the same as mine. I just trimed back the plastic bit to clear the Carry column surround.

I haven't done any good with extractors or even a flange plate. I thought I had a source but he hasn't come through.

 aiming for foxes and feral cats I hope! :D

I bought the hub anyways last night, I thought why not for that price posted!

Ive made a flange for the headers out of 12mm stainless steel but will leave it for the next engine
when I go for bigger pistons, exhaust valves and mild camshaft. So far the stock header runs well
albeit I did port it to make it 1mm bigger than oulet which helps.

fitted the hub last week with an Old SAAS 70s 12 inch steering wheel, very quick postage from that dude highly recommened for $10 bucks delivered.

Feels better by far than the old bigger wheel, easier to control the steering when it gets hairy in the wet from the extra oomph which I might ad is quite dangerous for the wife as it tends to slide when steering from right to left very easily! :-o I check all shocks and bushes but seems to be a design flaw as it used to be common with the g13 in the wet if not careful but now its constant!

Might have to go to a suspension specialist to work out whats going on but now the next upgrade has to be the differential as the gearing is to low and needs more legs on the freeway as the revs come up too easily in all gears really.

Its an 8 bolt Hitachi diff from what I can find and its the same as early sierras and maybe some jimnys?
need 3.9 for sure I believe for decent road manners and less wheel chirping spinning etc.

The tires are 185/65/14s and very grippy on other cars but on the carry its scarry :x

G'day

I am currently traveling over 2000kms per week around the Central West of NSW in my Carry Van doing service work. The roads range from twisty mountain roads to the long straight runs of the plains.
I have 165/75/13 on the front and 185/65/15 on the back. The van runs just under 3K revs at 102kms/hr. I have an Ignis dash with tacho and I am using a Tom-Tom GPS for accurate speed measurement.

It runs very nicely with the 1300 motor but I am lusting after the grunt of a 1600.

Looking at the Jimny specs:
http://www.globalsuzuki.com/automobile/ ... index.html

There is a 4.090 ratio. It would be a 5% reduction and nice if it fits.

Ive been told the carry supposedly is unlike the jimny and sierra diff by suziworld.re
This doesnt leave many options for diff upgrades unfortunately or replacements.

It looks like a Hitachi diff like on other suzukis and 8 bolt.
Maybe I can fit a datsun ute 1200 centre?

Just wondering if any other struts are compatible with the suzuki carry 00-04 model as Id love to use 4 x 114.3mm stud pattern instead of 4 x 100

theres a suzuki carry ute with 250hp g13bb turbo setup on speedhunters.com

G'day

That is an interesting read.

I noted "an S14 strut brace that has been modified to fit the Carry" I am not sure that the Carry would benefit much as there is a firewall.

I have sent an inquiry about the front bumper to:
http://www.aeroimagegarage.com/

That would look nice on my van.

You mean hubs, right? Just redrill your current ones to whatever stud pattern you want. ;) The rears might require welding before redrilling, depending on the design of the shaft end plate.

Depending on how aggressive you want to be with wheel offset, there is also the option of bolt on converters.

Some good pointers there Brayden but in reality would love to run Nissan front and rear ends as the diff centres for suzuki carry are limited if something goes clunk and front end discs to replace cost 5 times more than pintara or similar s12 ones so would definitely love heavier duty Nissan stuff. The rear end Id love to use would be the Borg warner R31 rear with LSD.

The front bumper is nice on that beast but instead of the moden look mine is going retrol or even rat hot rod look back to the 60s and 70s as the modern stuff is just too common. I prefer some like the ones you posted elsewhere

On another note....
Eventually I was going to build another G16b to almost 1.8L but recently been measuring an M18a and low and behold it is shorter than a g16b and almost just as wide. Problem is the manual box again.

Another strange thins is the Suzuki every transmission on ebay from elady or whatever that membe is
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUZUKI-EVERY-20 ... 56&vxp=mtr

looks the same as the g13b one but for a litle k6a engine to thin mine is behind the g16b!

would love an auto

Will the twin cam head fit in the Carry?
That was the problem with trying to put a GTI motor in.

Also what about a Trimatic out of a Vitara:
http://nbs4x4club.com/forum/index.php?topic=5598.0
http://auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 427e1d8720

It could be modded using 2wd Holden parts.

The M series engines use a narrow head design similar to the K series. The twin cam head isn't much wider than a G series single cam.

right on much like modern motorbike tech also trimatic would still need bell rotated to the correct angle somehow cut and shutting. Im just going to wait for the next Carry it should go M series considering the amount of issues the g16aid engine is supposed to have.

Ok guys genuine rebuilt clutch from Highway clutch although has more lbs on pressure plate than original it seems to slip everytime I give it the boost no matter at what speed.
Even overtaking it slips at highway speeds. I will take the box out and see If I can get a heavier pressure plate again and a 6 puck setup hybrid with organic layers also.

It seems the g16b has more torque than the g13bb clutch is made for.

That doesn't sound right. Plenty of Swift guys double the power of their Swifts on the standard clutch, and I did the same with my F8B. I'd be looking for a fitment issue or oil leak.
