my local spare parts shop are scratching their heads about this one. i have a 1987 Alto with an F5A motor and 4spd manual and 4 wheel drum brakes.

they say they only came out with front discs and rear drums.

what's the go? is anyone familiar with this and can you tell me what model front drums will fit my 1987 front wheel drive, 4 wheel drum braked, Alto panel van????

TIA

There were a number of SB305 Altos imported with drum brakes all round. They're easy to spot by their 10" wheels. God only knows why Suzuki ever brought them over!

I can't confirm, but I would suspect the front drums would be the same as those used in the 83/84 Hatch models with drum brakes all round.

Or you could always upgrade to a disc brake front end from an SB308 Alto.

that sounds about right, the original wheels were 10in. the guy i bought it off put 12's on it. the spare is still a 10in.

they came with option of disk or drum brakes, to cut a few bucks off the price, like the earlier Holdens.
remember these were bought as a low price van.
