Charge light is on in the dash.

I think my alternator gave up on the way home from work!

I can't get a charge from it...any Advise?

How far should I get with out charging?

On a brand new battery with 350cca i played music for about an hour, started the car about 5 times and drove 3 hours. Until it finally died. hope that helps. drive with nothing on, and push start it lol.

Desperation calling.

So i've got a jump starter that can charge off the battery through the cigarette lighter. Do you think it will have the same effect in reverse? I've seen jump starters that can start the car throught the cigarette lighter for fancy cars.

Do u have a spare battery? Maybe out of a car that wont be driven while your on the cruise?

One of those chargers should do, just keep it pluged in while your driving, to get the most out of it.

so turns out the 12 seater bus i was going to grab is out, also our other few rental cars are out so im not sure what ill be driving. still coming though even if i have to borrow a big bus..

I'd love to be meeting up with you guys today, but there is always tomorrow lol!

I will be bringing a spare 450cca battery with me on the trip, and a pair of jumper leads, along with 2 spare tyres, water, tools & so on. Worst case, if someone needs some battery charge, we could hookup jumpers between two of the utes & let one idle & charge the battery of the other for a while!
