Yeah... 800kms is a long distance to wear all manner of heavy vehicles overtaking you... I still feel your pain, dude!

Was interested in going. Have been to a few country ute shows. Generally there's a good atmosphere, but I'm not so sure what it'd be like having to drag the dog along and then storing him when you get there. Also, it isn't a ute show like so many others. It's mainly to attact large numbers.

Too far for me. :(

sorry got the distances mixed up it is only 420Km round trip :?

A fully supervised dog creche will be available during the entertainment. The cost is $5.00 per dog. This will be available on arrival at the oval until 1am when the entertainment winds up.

the purpose is to as they put it ----

""The Dog in a Ute event involves the coming together of two great rural Aussie icons - the 'Ute' and man's best friend, the 'Dog' in an attempt to break a World Record, raise funds to donate back into the community and other organizations, and to encourage visitors and provide recognition to Rural WA to boost our profile.""

it is not a ute show as such just count the number of utes with dogs i think the current world record is over 1500,

anyway I will post some photos when I return

Doggie creche eh? - I reckon if I took my mutt, there'd be several hundered pregnant bitches by the end of the night. One horney bugger :D
