I searched and this thread popped up and rather than post a new topic i thought i would add something i realised. So I know this is almost relevant to the exact topic but in looking for a vacuum source to set the idle(looking for best vacuum) i found the ports on the carby didn't have vacuum at idle, instead i got it off the manifold directly by using a brass nipple instead of a threaded bung that wasnt used.
