Taking a leaf out of the Victorian's book, I thought there should be a thread to discuss what people North of the border are doing for the cruise.

I'm open to suggestions, but my plan is for those leaving from Canberra to head off early Friday morning (7am) for the trip down. I wanted to take a break from the freeway at any decent opportunity, cruising on the old Hume Highway where possible. Normally the trip takes about 4 hours, but I'm factoring 5 or more with stops along the way.

If anyone coming down from further North would like to either stay in Canberra on Thursday night or meet up with us on Friday morning at Yass, please let me know. Also use this thread to discuss where you plan on meeting before starting your trip.

Canberra schedule:
Leave Friday morning somewhere between 7-8am.
Stop in Yass for brekkie, possibly meet NSW travellers
Yass to Gundagai (via Jugiong) (102 kms) - rest break @ Dog on the Tuckerbox
Gundagai to Holbrook (117 kms) - rest break @ HMAS Otway
Holbrook to Wodonga (72 kms)

Sydney schedule:
N/A

Yeah dude for sure. You know i'm in. I can be at your house 7am? More stops the better - no one wants to rock up on the back of a tow truck...

Yeah good Idea.
I'll be leaving from rouse hill, joining the M7, and then onto the Hume Hwy.
Open to meet/join others.
Departure time to be decided.
Chris.

I Know it will be the middle of the day but can you delay your departure time / meet time for yass? Give the guys a little further north a chance to get there?

I know there are people leaving from further north than me so they will already have a 3hr + drive time to Yass.

I was hoping for a Yass morning tea / lunch?

Getting to Canberra thursday night is not an option for me. I'm bringing the wife so the kids are going our grandparents as of friday morning.

That said, I'm open to the majority vote.

We don't necessarily need to meet at Yass. We'll be traveling at a pretty laid back pace (90kph) so you'll probably catch us by Gundagai.

To be honest I really don't want to leave any later than 8am, because it would mean driving through the heat of the day. I do sympathise with anyone traveling from up North though, I remember leaving home at 5am for many Sydney cruises with RedlineGTi.

Hey TufMB...

If you wanna be in the same park as us, your only option now is to tent it...

- That's OK... there will be several of us with you.

You can still find cabins but in other parks as found out by HOLK.

Choice is yours...

I'd say we'd be leaving Yass at about 8:30-9:00
