Hi Guys.
To add to the fun over the weekend, I've borrowed my brother-in-law's SPL meter (He is a hardened SPL fanatic - I won't tell you the stuff he has in his XR6... ) so we can have some fun over the weekend and see just who's sound system can crank out the most dBs.
I'll bring a CD with a Bass-frequency track he's given me on it so that we can all play the same test track, and then maybe we can crank up whatever we think is the loudest track we have...
Not a serious sound off, just some fun.
I've seen photos in the gallery of some fairly trick sound systems...
If you're interested, you can see what it'll do...
My brother's meter will measure 1 dB increments up to 150 dB. If you get to 150, HE wants a photo!
Please Note! - I am not into sound systems per-se - I have a small subby & I'm happy (with 118 dB ) - So you will be able to baffle me easily with bullshit... I just thought I'd bring his meter along for some extra fun.
Albury Gathering Sound Off
I'll win for the most quiet system - considering I removed the lot to save weight. (Roughly 50kg in case anyone was interested!)
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
My amp says 5500W But I'm sure that's Wank-factor-Watts...
Seriously... It says 5500w
I'll show you if you like at the AG.
(My brother-in-law freaked out when I showed him the amp! )
Cheap Chinese POS - I think they measured PEAK power.
I reckon I'd be lucky if I get 100w RMS...

Man your up early, i got woken up to move my car lol.
I'm running all mtx gear, besides cheapo subs, which should only do bass, not noise. If my phones right, it has a db reader, on 18 on the volume, it shot past 120db, but its a phone
We may need jumper leads after.
