My F8b is bust and i've taken this as an opportunity to make that much awaited swap, im looking at the F10D 16V 5-Speed MPFI [61Bhp@6000RPM]

I'll be lookin at some motors this weekend cause looking under the bonnet of one of the car's the F10D is in doesnt give one a clear picture. The motor is available in the Suzuki WagonR here in India and should be easily source able!

The SS80 has a sub frame on which the F8b sits however and correct me if i'm wrong, the wagonR doesn't have the sub frame assembly and it's motor is hung from the monocoque sides!?

How will i need to manage the mounts?

I'd be more worried that the F10D will be too wide for the SS80 engine bay!

the F10D transverse length [from pulleys to end of g'box] is 710mm as opposed to the F8B's 690mm, not too much of a diff, plus it looks like there's plenty of space in the SS80's bay to house that motor!

That should fit. Depending on the engine mounts, how high it would be, but you could always chuck a hood scoop on if the engine sticks out abit lol.

Ah, doesn't look like it'll fowl with the bonnet, cause it sits real low in the WagonR, the width was my main concern, right after engine mounts!

G13a has already been done (Adelaide) so surely F10d is do-able as long as you've got the money & technical ability.
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..
