Hey guys seen as the albury gathering is this weekend I had be trying to gauge how much fuel I'm likely to need for the trip so far I'm averaging 243 km's to a tank pumping in 26L roughly each time is this a good fuel economy or upto crap ??
Just paranoid I guess don't wanna run out of fuel halfway down the Hume highway lol

I've never pushed the point, but I reckon I'd get well over 400k's out of a tank on a cruise.

I was planning on taking my ten litre reserve just in case but I was more after if that's a good or bad number of km's to be getting but from what you said it sounds about average

I get about 350kms out of a tank in the Snot Rocket, and about the same from Special Ed - but one has a turbo and the other has a slushbox.

Thats living on the edge a bit isn't it? I only ever get 20-22L each fill, not sure what the K's are, something over 250.

My figures are daily use for Special Ed to & from work in traffic, and driving the Snot Rocket hard on weekends.

my fuel gauge ain't working properly at present so when it's starts to sorta chug it's likehmm not good find a fuel station fast I have only had to pump 26 or close to it like twice, hence why I'm trying to het a gauge on how much fuel the mb is likely to use in case I can't get the fuel gauge working
thanks for the replies though

I seem to get between 300 - 400 to a fill up of 25ltrs, but my carby could use a bit of tune work still. I'll be carrying a jerry can with me, as i'm not sure how many kms albury is from my place.

Cheers

Google maps = 342ks and we'll be stopping in roadhouses along the way, but a jerry can full of fuel is nice insurance anyway! :)

Cheers
