I realise most of you run larger tyres...

Has anybody anything bad to say about Hankook Optima K715's?

The run home from Albury prompted me to fit some new rubber (moreso the rupture I had)... So 5 newies going on very shortly...

I've got some 13" Alloy rims at home I bought for this occasion, but talked myself out of using them... Gonna stick with the stockies - I like the look (so sue me!)

Not too much available in 12" tho' these days...

Was quoted $90 a corner.

I'm running Kumho 145/70/R12 on Ed and they are the best tyre I have encountered in that size. For a tyre that is only 4" wide they have an amazing amount of grip.

The other bonus is that I picked them up off ebay for a measly $50 for a set of 4! (Some guy had written off his handivan a week after putting the new tyres on.)

I have also used Hankook 165/65/R13 tyres for many years and found that they are an average tyre for the price. Not brilliant, especially in the wet.

Thanks for the replies...

I found this website:
http://www.tyretest.com/pkw_sommerreife ... index.html

Where they tally up reviews by anybody who cares to respond (or so it would seem).

The top set of figures is the aggregate total, followed by the discrete results... These tires seem to do ok in that survey on aggregate, although the individual results vary wildly.
