I used the original clutch cable.
I used a 1989-1998 300zx model Z32 dip stick
I've got an electric fan drawing the air into the radiator. You could afford to have an oversize radiator by a good 80mm and place a fan on the front side of it without any issues.

Get ALL the original parts you can. As I said try get a front cut right down to the key barrel.

To wire in the ECU all you've got to do is plug the alternator in to the ECU's loom and wire in the battery light which is 2 wires. Piece of cake, all the wires are the same colour.

Wee update.

I found a massive vacuum leak, 10mm hole where the EGR never got welded over because it was blocked from carbon.

Fuel economy sky rocketed and the gas dial doesn't drop like it use to.

But it intermitantly idles low sometimes to the point of stalling. Hope I don't have to buy a IAC valve.

Got my new Programmable ECU.

Its a megasquirt and should put out a lot more power than the standard ECU.

When I had the van dynoed it peaked at 3300RPM with 33kW which means something was very wrong so I decided I'm not going to piss around with it any more and put another system into it that I can program.

Pics to come.

Got it all wired in now after 3 days. Runs rich as but can now start tuning it. Will put some pictures up tomorrow and maybe another 0-100km video to compare.

Yeah, plenty of news.

It's blown 2 fuel pump transistors. Even the sparky who came out to help was confused.

So I'm quite frustrated with it as I had it all installed on Monday. It's now Saturday. I like to get stuff done ASAP.

It sure has. Currently held up trying to find a larger radiator as the van can't handle going slow when road tuning. The fan comes in around 95 degrees which isn't any help as the old system turned it on at approx 85-90 which seemed to be much more efficient.

The K10A shouldn't run any hotter than the old F10A unless there is something horribly wrong with the tuning or the radiator. I know of F6A conversions in MB's still running the stock radiator without a problem.

Well I've replace the water pump and thermostat and took the radiator to the radiator specialist and he said it had really good flow.

The tune is rich but I use to have this problem with my old ECU.

I think the problem is that its a van and doesn't get very good airflow. Mix this with boost and shit hits the fan.

I've got a radiator that I had recored a year ago. I could try my luck at that one, I've just got to get the radiator guy to brass the outlet on the otherside like I've done to my current radiator.

My boosted Carry only had a problem with temp driving up mountains, but that was more to do with the 30" intercooler blocking the whole front end.

I'd be checking that you're not running too much advance on the timing.

How much power was your carry putting out. I assume it had the f6a from factory?

Factory F5A running 14 pound. Don't know how much power it was putting down. (Never saw a dyno).
