I have to apologise in advance if this question has been answered by you guys before. - I did a quick search on the other forum (shhhh...)
Assuming f5a turbos are available, like suzmot's (AKA Kei?) alto rsr, then would they be a straight swap into the MB? - At least the engine anyway. I'd imagine maybe there'd be issues with the 5spd...
Hmmm?.....
F5a turbo
In theory...?
By the way, I believe that Kei's Alto Works is an RS-X, which features the turbocharged SOHC carburettored engine. (guys correct me if I'm wrong) The Alto Works RS-R is the later model with the EPi DOHC engine...

Josh = WRONG.
The F5A turbo used in the Alto is a DOHC EFI 550cc, and it uses a different subframe to the MB F5A. It is more in line with the F6A frame.
As for the existence of a carby turbo F5A - perhaps on the Suzuki Cervo (from which the MightyBoy is derived) there may be such a thing, but I can't be certain having never seen the engine bay of one. My guess would be that it would use the EFI F5A though.

F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
Ahhhhh... Right. I had it in my head that these early Alto Works' were using the (I had through carburettored turbo) engine found in the Cervo Turbo and the like...Brayden wrote:Josh = WRONG.

When the last dude you pissed off slipped and tapped the blade on your shoulder rather than taking off your head!
Just kidding. (I'd use JJ for just joking but then you wouldn't know that's what I meant)

Just to confirm, yep, my alto is F5A EFi DOHC Turbo and an RS/R.
Will put more pics up on my site in a few days.
From what I understand the carby turbo engine was very short lived in 1985. The Works brand came about in 1986 and with it the EFI jiggers.

There was one version of the f5a import that fitted straight up into a 'boy - it was out of something strange (ie - not an Alto) and it fited fine. Trying to find out where it came from at the moment
As Kei mentioned, the carby turbo (if it did actually exist as we beleive) it was in the Cervo, which has the same subframe as the MB - so that would be the simplest turbo conversion... IF you could find one!
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
...and with the performance sounding as ordinary as it is, you'd have to wonder why you'd bother!
