G'day guys,
My hatch has a bit of an over fuelling issue.
Basically, it runs fine for a while then floods itself and stalls. If i look down the carby after this happens you can see or hear fuel pouring into it. Had a tinker with it yesterday and thought i fixed it, but it happened again today. I've read through the service manual on this site an tried a few of the thing in there but its still happening.
Does anyone have any ideas on whats causing this and how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Dave
Suzuki Hatch 800 carby/overfuelling problems
could be somethin stuck between needle nd seat, or its worn nd needs replacing
The problem is most likely a collapsed float or as suggested by Jermaine the needle/seat aren't sealing off.
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
could be a hole in the float, and its fillin with fuel, causing it to flood
Okay,
I've adjusted the float level and checked the needle and it isn't worn and its not dirty either.
However, the gasket between the float chamber upper cover and carby body does seem to be leaking around the float chamber area. Could this be the possible cause for the over fuelling issue?
Also, while poking around under the bonnet i noticed that my gearbox fluid check/filler plug is snapped, looks like someone has tried to tighten it with a pair of pliers or something

For $75 I would buy a kit and rebuild it.

Does anywhere sell the carby rebuild kits? And would it include the needle valve, float & gaskets etc?
I apologise for all the questions. This is the first carby car I've owned and never actually done anything to a carby before.

I got my rebuild kit from auto one(fuel miser) and it does have gaskets, needle and seat from memory. I put grease on the gaskets to help if i ever needed to take it apart again. Half the rebuild time was scraping off the old gaskets
Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated!
Looks like i'll be doing the rounds at all the auto shops tomorrow and see what i can find.
Thanks again guys.

Just saw this one on Ebay. Does this have all the stuff yours came with Husky? Only $55 too
Would this be a suitable rebuild kit, or should i go to an auto shop and pay the extra $?
Cheers
