Just a quickie, to save me taking off my door trims (for now), does the '89 alto works come with side intrusion bars? If not, are there other bars from other doors we can fit?

If i don't get an answer here, expect a documented & pictorial of finding out :)

I'm yet to see a Kei class car with side intrusion bars. My MB doesn't have them, my Hatch didn't have them, and Mel's Alto doesn't have them.

But to be sure I'd whip off the door trims. Hell for 5 minutes work its not worth guessing. ;)

The smallest car I've seen with side intrusion bars yet is the 1.0L Charade G10 and G11s. I went to perform a central locking installation on a friend's vehicle and was blown away to find 3 rugged side-instrusion bars fitted in the doors which, at the end of the day, really don't dwarf the doors fitted to the MightyBoy by any means!

gotta be done for ADR compliance. Personally i'd also feel safer if they were there too.

I also forgot to mention that the Suzuki Cultus (JDM Swift) does not have side intrusion bars, whereas the Australian delivered Swift has them.

jc, celica intrusion bars look good, nice and long. they're longer so they'll need to be cut short, alto intrusion bars for the '89 model need to be about 1150mm long.

Hope this helps your search.
