Hey, im just wondering if anyone knows any info on the blue carryvan with a ls1 in it with toastr number plates..
im chasing info on it or pics..
any help would be great..

if no one knows what im talking about, type in 'TOASTR" on utube..

I had a brief chat with the owner at Summernats last year. Small block chev + T400 from what I can remember of the conversation. I took some pics too, will see if I can dig them out.

hey mate yeh i no the one your talking about its off its head :twisted:

its got a blown and stroked 383ci ls1 in it . the owner's name is dean dury.

Thanks heaps, anyone know info or got pics of how engine is mounted? I have a daihatsu hijet, I am currently fitting a ls2 into it. If anyone has pics would be awesome.. Thanks for the help so far.

It doesnt have the standard radius rods fitted, so I can only assume he's using a custom front crossmember, likely modified from a Holden looking at the lower control arms and hubs.

Thinking about it from an engineering point of view the easiest option would be to build a rolling chassis to house the engine/drivetrain and drop the van body over it. Probably what TOASTR is built on.

I asked but it was too much hassle to remove the panelling.

So furry... Just want to stroke it :) Is this the one that used to be black and bounces around like a mofo when it's skidding?

Haha yeh that's the one it's off it's head. I've been on the net for days trying to find info and pics on how the build was done..
