due to poor cold starting, my question is what is the Gap for the points supposed to

Thanks Mate! did it today and has really improved the starting.
yeh they use the same plug. the owner manual states NGK BP5ES or NIPPON DENSO W16EX-U for both 48.6(797cc) cube motor and the big 59.2(970cc) cube engine...
....its not miles per gallon its smiles per gallon....

Parts bloke secret... BP5ES & BP5EY are essentially the same plug Y means the electrode is split to allow the spark to form a bigger 'flame'. Also, the lower the number, the hotter the plug.

So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..
