It would be nice to be able to use custom avatars, either on-side or off-site ( http://imageshack.us hosting or similar)

Limited to an appropriate size, say 100x100 it would prove effective on the forums to quickly see who's talking. Some people are using the same cookie cutter avatars, such as myself and Scott123.

make sure there's a kb limit too - say 40
none of my pc's handled animated gifs well :(
