With the purchase of another Alto Works, I'm again looking at compliance stuff;
This one has a couple more things done that should help - but I'm still unsure about some details.
Anyone who owns one of these I would like to know:
Standard rego or commercial?
2dr hatch, 3dr hatch, 2dr van, 2dr wagon???? Which one
If commercial, where/how do you get GVM/GCM details
I have to fill in this:
http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/pdfs/per ... ehicle.pdf
To get a Statement of Requirements (list of things needed)

Hey mate, not sure if this will help or if nsw is same as sa, but I'm doing mine as normal rego, 4 seater, need side intrusion bars in doors, rear lap/sash seat belts, all jap emission stickers done in English, import approval vin number plate, drivers side revision mirror needs to be changed from convex to concave, or other way around, cant remember what is on it, also English tyre placard, also have been told will need a cat converter, that's all I can think of at the moment, hope it helps, sorry if it didn't, lol

im not sure if this will help either (NSW) , but my alto is registered:
1988 SUZUKI ALTO87A
Shape: PVW (panel van windows)
Conditions: General Private useage
i do not believe mine is registered as a commercial vehicle, and as a side note, 680kg tare weight! need to go on a diet!
when i bought my one the charcoal canister was connected, but i was told there was no cat (although from underneath there is a suspiciously cat shaped device that looks much newer than the rest of the system, i,e, no surface rust).
my GVM is 930 while my GCM is blank. seating capacity is 2, despite having 4 seats

"c'mon guys, it's not that small"
Which means it has been complied as commercial, and someone has refitted the rear seat afterwards.Rogue_Works wrote: my GVM is 930 while my GCM is blank. seating capacity is 2, despite having 4 seats

Thanks for clearing that up Brayden,
something else that might help, goofy, you posted in my build thread whether i could upload any photos of the intrusion bars in the doors in the future, well, i figured i'd put them here seeing as its regarding your compliance
not a lot to be found...
on another topic, i couldn't find any identifying markings or anything on the windscreen.

The new alto has bars done (albeit the certificate is in VIC somewhere) - so not too worried about that now.
Looks like I will attempt 2seat private reg as sedan first.

Guys,
I have given the copy of the plate to a japanese friend who for a couple of beers will translate it for me.
As far as the plate is concerned, I produce them in laminated ecosolvent printed vinyl; just make sure they are suitable in your state. I have done many tire placards this way in Vic and there is no problem.
(I can even colour-code them down here to match specific colours combos).
