Hi all,

Just a random q.... I was thinking today would it be possible to twin turbo a f8b?

I figure there prob wouldn't be enough exhaust gas to do much and your meant to have a small and big turbo for it to work properly.

But it would look cool if there is room. Top mount with a bonnet scoop??? Lol

why not have a supercharger and a turbo. food for thought that is. use the supercharger to get it going and use the turbo to boost through the supercharger while the supercharger compresses it more.

It was done in a Nissan march super turbo, even most vw's use this system today, but you don't have much room to play with

Yer I no. Twin turbo would look awesome, would it still be the same setup in fuel system etc as for a single?

Twin charging wouldn't work efficiently on an F8B due to the low redline. Something with twin cams is far better suited.

Owe ok. Would it work tho? Or come on boost and red line straight away?

Whats considered a low redline for an F8B? Just curious as i regulary see 7500-8000 which i dont think is too shabby :D

Why not put three turbos on a mightyboy? Technically, there's no reason why you couldn't, it comes down to how much money and effort you want to spend and for what return. The reality is that the mb engine hasn't got the best airflow and head design, so to get big power you need to spend big money. You can compress the air all you like, but you actually have to move the air to get power.

I realize that the f8b isn't a race motor power house just wondered if it is possible and would work. Would look awesome at a car show or just to do something different
