Just thought.

Are there any other pulleys that are the same dimensions as the F8b use. just in a double ?

There has got to be other cars that use something the same

Another thought,

Is it possible to put 2 of the same crank pulleys side by side ?

The crankshaft isn't long enough to fit two pulleys. Unless you can find a double pulley the only other option would be to have one billet machined. If I was going to that kind of trouble I'd do a gilmer drive setup instead. :rawk:

I've said this about other pulleys people have been chasing. I can spin one one up If you can give me the dimensions. Cost would only be material and freight. Gotta keep these boys on the road :thumbup2:

from memory the twin pulley setup consisted of two sheetmetal type pulleys one mounted inside the other and used the same mounting bolts. being quite thin there was enough room on the crank.

Thanks for replies guys.
I'm not sure on the dimensions of the dual pulley.
Only know its 113mm round.
Anyone know of all the dimensions/specs of the dual pulley ?

I should have a thread on these by the end of the week. Standard Suzuki on the left, "replacement" pulley on the right. You might be better having a custom machined up anyway to save changing other pulleys.

Hi Craig.
I've refrained from commenting thus far, because I'm only speaking from distant memory, but in years gone by (prior 2000!), where I work used to make belt-driven extraction fans, and at the time I was quite conversant with pullies, belts etc. So here goes...

From Will's pictures, the pulley appears to be an 'spz' cross-section (as opposed to an 'spa' cross-section).
I know that we used to stock all manner of sizes of single, and dual row pullies in sizes from 56mm diameter up to as big as you like - I suspect you can go even smaller, but we had no need for smaller, so we didn't stock them.

I would suggest if you were to trot into your local Bearing Wholesalers, or CBC Bearings outlet, and show them an example of what you have, and explain what you want, you might find an industrial pulley 'off the shelf' that is close enough to serve your needs.

Failing that, you'll be able to lean on their experience to get a much better understanding of precisely what it is you want. Then I'd take Milton up on his offer to make it up for you.

Thanks Tez,

I work for a diesel & earthmoving parts company and CBC are a supplier of ours :)

Will look into to it.

don't forget you will need a double pulley for the water pump as well, i have one in front of me now it is a sheet metal type pressing with the 2 pulleys made as one.
can't post pics my camera lead has gone missing.

Thay are around as I got givin an Alto that has an F8B and factory Air, now going into the MB just had to cut some of the A/C box away line it up with the intake for the underdash ventilation add a piece of high density foam to join the two and taadaa Cool runnings for the MB. Is the plan anywhay. I havnt had a look at the twin pully yet but it dosent look any thing special.
