How can you identify your engine is a f8a or f10a? I bought my 1984 carry st90 ute, seller said it was 1.0L but then vin no show 0.8l

check the block itself, it should say either f10a or f8a under either intake manifold or exhaust manifold

yeah it should be just to the left below the intake manifold on the block itself it should say either f8a or f10a

Mine has f10a on block and has 800 imbosed on the head??

That's a standard marking on F10A motors.
