G'day Guys,
I'm just in the middle of a carby conversion on a mate's Carry van, an F-10A engine, we are putting a Harley CV 40mm on it,
Just looking at the fuel lines to the existing factory carby, it has what looks like a return line from the tank going to it, As the Harley carby doesn't have a provision for this, can the return line be blocked, or put elsewhere
Thanks in advance for your advise
Dave

The best solution is to connect the feed line to the return line with a T-piece, with the third connection running to the carby. You will have to install a Malpassi/Holley carby fuel regulator (3-6PSI) after the T-piece on the return line side, and fit an LPHV electric fuel pump.
If you just block the return line the standard fuel pump would clap out in no time.

Thanks for the reply,.. much appreciated
It has an electric pump on it, but using the t-piece solution makes sense
The engines rebuilt, and fitted back in, just finished making the manifold adaptor for the new carby
