Reversing Switch

Hi Guys.
My reversing switch has shat itself (wire has fatigued at the switch and broken) - If I unscrew the faulty unit from the gearbox, will I get drowned in Gearbox oil?

But if you're quick with the replacement you'll only get a puddle about the size of a CD. and if you're smart you'll have put a rag on the ground to catch it.
