thank you, so if I pulled the spare box apart ( without snapping any bolts) do you know how many teeth on the crown wheel the 800 would have, or do the 800 have more teeth than a 550 or the other way around I can't remember ( getting old  thank you again :D

This may have been done. If not.. looks good

What I was missing in my M/B was a dash clock. My son is restoring a Suzuki Sierra with a 92 damaged one for spares. I looked at the dash clock in this and thinking this one would look good in the M/B where the square Suzuki panel is on the dash next to the heater controls, so I went about pulling t...

Thank you for the help, my understanding is that any bearing will make the most noise "under load" ie wheel, thrust, waterpump ect. mmm tobe on the safe side I will replace the thrust bearing as well as I will have the box out. :D thank you..... cris

Yep. but check on wiring. 95% of fuel sender units are Neg activated by grounding the wire you are bypassing the resistance in the coil in the unit in the tank the wiring that gives you the varance on fuel levels ie 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 which is moved up or down via a float lever. so when you ground the wi...

Thank you for that Brayden, there is no noise when the clutch pedal is depressed all goes quiet. so it seems the front bearing in the box could be the noise the thrust bearing is used to depress the pressure plate. when I put the gear box in ( 2nd hand) I replaced the clutch and bearing and also the...

the fuel and temp guages are Negative activated. so to check your fuel guage disconnect the sender wire from the tank (can't remember if it is easy to get to) earth it out with the ign key turned on (motor not running) the fuel gauge should move slowly to past full mark if this happens the gauge may...

:) Thank you. will look at all options. I was hopeing to LIFT it by about 1 - 2" due to the dirt roads I use, but renewing the struts would help to firm the front end and might get the guard rolled so the tyre doesn't hit it or just replace the cheviot mags back to the cheese cutter stan...

I'd say this is it.... thanks Brayden I will take the struts out and chase up some new inserts. Does any body know ...
