   to Brayden, at least someone makes some sense. Run your car on synthetic if you want to burn some money and get better wear reduction. 300000km from an engine is good going, but all my larger cars have gotten this with normal servicing.

Sounds just like Bi-tron. Just a glorified oil additive, I use black and gold oil in some things, it all comes out of a hole in the ground, and I'm sure black and gold dont own an oil refinery so they would buy it off someone like bp or the like.
As long as its the right grade oil, its all oil.

Have a look in the yellow pages for seatbelt repair, there are heaps of places that will re-build your seatbelts, we had some done for a ba falcon, they put new belt in, and a new winder spring. $100 per belt and they were like new.

Sorry, forgot to clarify, I had the carby off but didn't really take any notice of where they go, thinking they would all fall into place. Even a close up pic of someone's standard carb front and back would be sweet.
Its for the f5a.

Carby vacuum hose diagram

Does anyone have a diagram of where each hose on the carby goes to? I have a couple of pipes on the firewall side that have me stumped.
Thanks.

Has anyone tried modifying a vacuum diaphragm off another vehicle to replace the vacuum socondary unit? I am going to try replacing my buggered one with a vacuum unit that I've had laying around from a ef falcon dual runner intake. If it works I'll let you know.

Numbers on pistons

I'm re-ringing the f5a in the mightyboy because I need her back on the road. I have a rooted motor and an ok for re-ringing one, on thetops of the pistons there are numbers, one has 040 stamped on its pistons and the other has 075 or 070 i think, neither engine looks like it has had a spanner to its...

I'd love to, but finding one is the hard part. If i cant find one it looks like a set of rings and a hone will be the answer.

WTB good condition f5a in soutwest WA

Hi guys, I'm looking for a good cheap replacement f5a for my old smokey mighty boy. The one I have now burns LOTS of oil and only has 70psi per cylinder. This is a daily driver with 230000km on the clock and would do heaps more with another motor so I want to keep her going. I'm between Albany and P...
