Front subframe - Anyone got a photo?

I was just wondering whether anyone with an automatic 'Boy who has their engine out might be able to take a photo of the gearbox side subfame for me please. Failing that, does anyone have a reasonably accurate idea of how much the frame differs between auto & manual transmission models (ie, does...

Thought the extra 20mm width & 19mm height of the 175/60 might do something like that... Considering the 185/60 is 30mm wider & a good inch taller than the toyo's, I think I might get away with sticking a set of them on

DEAD THREAD REVIVAL :dead: Thought I may as well ask here now rather than start a new thread. :ugh: I've just had a set of 14x6" rims offered to me at the right price, they're from a Swift & have a +38 offset. Should I run a set of Toyo TEOplus (155/55 R14) to try for adequate guard clearan...

How on earth did you buckle it? :-o

I've got one you can have, but given the weight of it, i don't think postage will be terribly cheap...

PM me if you're still interested though.

Ahh - That'd be why I couldn't find the ends to the circlip. Worked a treat with my manual CV's.

I'll let you know about how the outers go as i'm going to pull mine out & regrease them when I get a bit more grease to do it with.

How long is a piece of string? What sort of condition is it in? Straight & clean, or rusty & banged-up? Mechanical condition? Is it 500cc, 800cc, auto, manual? Mileage? Colour? Air/c? Is it a genuine Squirt with the back seat, or is it just a stock MightyBoy with the roof hacked off? Is it c...

CV joint disassembly

Does anyone know how to get the inner CV joints apart to replace them? I've read the hatch service manual which recommends removing a large circlip before trying to pull seperate the joint, but the MB doesn't seem to be the same... My originals won't fit in my new gearbox (it's a non-f-series motor,...

Ford Laser Ghia from about '87? They had wheel covers like that, on their 14" wheels. Not really common, they only ran them for about 12 months.

Or you could buy a set of Moon caps like the old school hotrodders used to like. No bolt holes in the centre of those, nice smoooooth look B)
